A.M.A.C CHAIRMAN ALHAJI ABDULLAHI ADAMU CANDIDO CALLS ON THE GIRL-CHILD TO MAXIMIZE THEIR POTENTIALS

Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu Candido has advocated for equitable and meaningful opportunities for the Girl-Child in the country.

According to the Chairman’s representative, Miss Victory Ibrahim who spoke to newsmen, the voice of the Girl-Child should be used as a means to find solutions to the challenges faced by that vulnerable group in society.

She said as part of the global takeover, girls are offered the chance to play key roles in all politics, business, Media, and other key sectors as they aspire for more inclusion in all human endeavors.

She, therefore, called on the Girl-Child to rise to maximize her potentials and demand for rights as members of the society irrespective of the situation.

She also appealed to governments, parents, civil societies, and various leaders to respond to the call of empowering the GIRL-CHILD to encourage her to realize her dream of becoming an agent of change in the country.

The 2020 international day for GIRL-CHILD which also celebrated every 11th of October every year has its theme: My Voice Our Equal Future: and is aimed at emphasizing the importance of the voice of the GIRL-CHILD as an avenue to ending all forms of gender-based practices against her in the society.
