FEDERAL MINISTRY OF EDUCATION ENDORSES NIGER DELTA CANIVAL PROJECT, CALLS IT A NATIONAL PROJECT.

The Niger Delta Reporters are seeking for endorsement and support from the Ministry of Education and other relevant stakeholders as they work towards the realization of the Niger Delta Canival Project, first edition coming up at the end of the year in Rivers state.

 

Organizers of the Canival, the  Niger Delta Reporters, which is made up of various patriotic Nigerians were at the Ministry of Education to canvas for partnership with emphasis to project educational mechanisms during the event.

 

 

According to the Niger Delta Reporters, the Carnival Project is expected to educate, enlightened and to also promote socio-cultural elements that will bring exciting transformation for socio-economy diversity to grow and thrive in the region and the nation at large.

The Group believes in the Nation’s integration and are putting up fascinating ideologies to re-educate Nigerian citizens on valuable Nigerian cultural heritage and historical aspects that are said to be facing extinction.

 

The Niger Delta Reporters assured to work closely with the ministry to introduce Essay writing, debate involving leaders and other learning elementary mechanisms during the Carnival.
The Group informed that the Carnival is a national project with the aim to bringing education to a desirable level and reduce the number of out-of-school children in the region.

The Carnival will also stimulate the need to be educated and find meaning to life that is beyond oil bunker as the only source of livelihood.
The Niger Delta Reporters noted that they are working out a platform that will promote and maintain inter-cultural relations and understandings amongst the citizens in the country.

 

Welcoming the Group, the Deputy Director Education, Mr. Achebe Joseph applauded the Initiative calling it an excellent idea that can serve as medium to reawakening the quest for education for all without age barrier.

 

 

He assured on the ministry’s unwavering support and active participation to ensuring the necessary steps are carried out for the success of the Niger Delta Carnival.
