SCHOOLS IN THE FCT RESUME AFTER SEVEN MONTHS OF CLOSURE

Schools in the federal capital territory resume normal activities following the directives by the federal government after seven months of closure.

Aso Radio and Television crew visited schools visited in Gwagwalada Area Council of FCT and found that academic activities had begun in earnest.

Mr. Okpe Samuel is the principal of the School for the Gifted told the news crew that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure total compliance with the NCDC guidelines.

Doctor Uba Mohammad Inuwa and Mallam Nasir Dahir, Principals of Shiek Hamdan Model Senior Secondary School, and Hayil Sa’id Basic Education Gwagwalada also spoke on their readiness saying adequate measures were put in place to ensure compliance with all guidelines by the NCDC.

Some of the students who spoke to Aso Radio and Television Services expressed their delight as schools reopened after seven months of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The presidential task force on COVID-19 has warned that any public or private school found violating the earlier directives will be shut down until further notice.
