UATH GWAGWALADA DOCTORS, COMMENCE STRIKE

The Association of Resident Doctors, University of ABUJA Teaching Hospital Gwagwalada, have embarked on a strike as a result of non payment of salary for the past 5 months.

President of the Association of Resident Doctors, University of ABUJA Teaching Hospital Chapter, Dr Ameh Abdul, confirmed to Aso Radio and Television health Correspondent Lois Abba Sambo via phonecall, that the strike began yesterday.

Dr Abdul said some of the doctors in the hospital have not been paid, amidst working in unfavourable conditions and the brain drain they constantly experience.

Recall that last week the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors called on the government to meet up to it’s end of the Memorandum of Agreement,it signed with the Association April before it’s next meeting in July.
