TRAIN SERVICES RESUMES AS RAILWAY WORKERS CALL OFF STRIKE

Train services which were suspended last week due to strike action embarked upon by railway workers under the aegis of the Nigerian Union of Railway Workers (NUR) and the Senior Staff Association (SSA) NRC Branch have fully resumed on Saturday after necessary safety precautions.

The management of Nigeria railway corporation announced the resumption In a statement by deputy director (public relations) F.NRC,  Mr. Yakubu Mahmood on Sunday. The statement noted that all train arrivals and departures remain according to the current train timetable scheduled before the strike. It added that the NRC’s portal is now fully operational for the passengers Wishing to book a ticket online. The Management also regretted any inconveniences the strike may have cost its valued passengers.
